The extrusion process creates a part with a continuous cross-section
such as a channel. Applying heat up to 600 degrees and pressure
the profile is pulled at a specific line speed through a machined set of
dies and in some cases a vacuum sizer which match the part profile and dimensions. After some adjustments the profile is then brought into drawing tolerance and sent for customer approval.
